Panel im Rahmen der VAD-Tagung "Kontinuitäten und Brüche: 50 Jahre Unabhängigkeit in Afrika"

Die Tagung der VAD wurde zusammen mit dem 19. Afrikanistentag vom Institut für Ethnologie und Afrikastudien ausgerichtet und fand vom 7. bis 11. April 2010 in Mainz statt.
Aus der Ankünigung:
Transferring the overall topic of the conference to the realm of literature, this panel is concerned with African creative writing 50 years after independence. Papers will focus on African novels published in both African and the former colonial languages in the first decade of the 21st century. Presenters will aim at providing overviews or highlighting more general literary trends, i.e., discussions of the continuities and discontinuities in African novels by particular authors, from particular countries and/or in particular languages.
